Dear Pam and Margaret,
Permit me to take this means to express our appreciation to you and the management of Pitman Manor for the splendid way you organized and carried out the very special way we welcomed our new (PUMC) Pastors.
I'm sure that both of the Pastors were impressed by the welcome. This gave them a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with our residents. I'm sure that we will see much more of them in the coming days.
I'm grateful for the close cooperation we have with the Pitman Church. As a retired Pastor (and my associates join me) we are grateful. We are pleased with the concern and provision made for us in our retirement years.
We are so pleased with our home here at Pitman Manor.
Cordially,
Rev. G. Willard Southwick
Tess,
Thank you so much for your help in getting the Fellowship Fund aid for my dad. On a daily basis we are
impressed by the care and support of all the staff we encounter at Pitman Manor, and your help is but another example.
Ann C.
Dear Mr Clancy,
I would like to commend your employees of the healthcare unit that cared for my grandmother over the years. The
nurses, aides and ancillary employees were always, professional, caring and helpful. There are too many names to
recall over the years. A few recent names would be Marian, Rhonda, Karen, Denise, Phyllis and Peg to name few. As
a allied health professional myself I just want to say thank you. Please keep up the good work. Thank you and may God Bless.
Maris V.
Dear Everybody,
I can't thank you enough for the wonderful care you gave Dad. I know he could be a challenge at times and your
patience and kindness meant so much for me and our family. I will continue to recommend your community as its
one of the best in our area.
Take care,
Deb A.
Dear Jim,
Thanks again for the water tank installed in the garden area. As you know we gardeners have been hauling water
out to the area in buckets. There seemed to be no answer to our problem so I mentioned it to Neil. Within one
day he came up with the idea of a tank.
On behalf of Mary G., Ed P, Walt B, and myself, we would like to express our appreciation to Neil and the men
who installed the tank. This is just another example of Pitman Manor employees taking that one extra step to
help the residents.
Best Regards,
Edmund P.
Dear Alice,
I know how much my mother enjoyed living at Pitman Manor these past eight years, but I really only
understood why in the past four months when I got to know the "Pitman Manor family". The care and
support she and I received from everyone was appreciated so very much.
Sincerely,
Emily G.
Jim,
I am happy that the residents enjoyed the (Ellis Island) trip and am very happy that they enjoyed themselves.
I have seen some of the pictures and they are a great way to remember a great day. There is not truth to the
rumor that I even arranged for the great weather and the calm water. I think that came from your side of the shop.
You must remember that I was only a small part of their lives. You, your staff and UMH are a much more
important part of their lives on a daily basis. I could never live up to the kindness, caring and love that
all of you provide. I was also very proud of the Troopers who went out of their way to make this happen. As I
am proud of the State Police organization, you too must be very proud of what you do. I was impressed by
everyone who made this happen.
Tell everyone I said hello and hope to see them again.
Kevin
On behalf of Martha H., I would like to thank Pitman Manor for such wonderful care. Everyone involved from
her admission to her discharge was outstanding, excluding no one. I literally could list all of the staff
for a job well done.
I believe we selected the best retirement community to care for our aunt. No one at Pitman Manor let her or
us down. You should be proud of your entire staff. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Daniel P. and Family
Dear Pam,
Thank you so much for all the wonderful activities at The Manor in the last few months. My family had a
lot of fun participating in the Halloween and Christmas events, and my dad (Bob W.) really enjoyed the
Veteran's trip to Washington DC. These activities are such a blessing to residents and families alike.
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Jane R.
Pitman Manor Staff,
Thank you for all of your kind assistance with our mother. Although she was unable to reside at your community, the support and understanding we received was second to none.
God Bless,
The Lock Family
Dear Kathy,
The kindness and care that was extended to our mother by you, the nurses and aides, especially during the decline
in her health over the past several months, is really appreciated. Certainly a very important and significant
part of her 91 years was the time she spent as a resident in the Manor. She was always so busy with friends and
the many activities that she barley had time to do her own laundry. Again, thank you to all who cared for her.
Sincerely,
W. Adams and Family
To the Nursing Staff at Pitman Manor:
Thank you for your guidance and support during our first clinical nursing rotation. Your patience and encouragement will long be remembered. We've enjoyed our time here at Pitman Manor and will miss all of you!
(Signed by the students in the class).
Dear Katie,
Thank you so much for being so kind to my mother. She loved you and your husband visiting with her.
You gave her the cutest stuffed elephant. Thanks again for being so caring.
Sincerely,
Mary L.
Dear Pam,
Thank you so much for the delicious lunch my friend and I enjoyed recently.
The food was delicious. The service superb. And the two luncheon mates were charming.
Incidentally, Pam, the luncheon invitation was the best PR ever. Just sitting with the two ladies and
hearing their impromptu comments on Pitman Manor was most rewarding. My friend and I felt quite at home.
The two ladies- with no rehearsing- shared their thoughts on the fellowship, the care, the food selection,
and the support from the staff. I just thought you would like to be aware that the luncheon invitation was great.
Thanks for all the attention you give to me.
Cordially,
Marjorie L.
Dear Packed with Love Committee:
Hello, my name is Amy L. Kalnas. I'm 20 years old and from Missouri. I've been in the military for a year
and a half now. I'm the female soldier you have been sending your care packages to. I just want to thank
you for all the things you have sent. I appreciate every single thing. It is very thoughtful of you as a lot
of the stuff is hard to get here in Iraq.
I'm sorry it took so long for me to write. I will send some pictures later on. I'll have to put them on a
disc and send them. For the future, some of the most popular items are Butterscotch Tastykakes, AT&T phone
cards any kind of food, Teen Spirit Berry Deodorant, toothpaste, and anything else you can think of. Thank
you once again. Hope to hear from you soon. Bye and take care.
To all the Nursing Staff:
Five years (how time flies) since we moved into the Manor. A move we have never regretted.
We are especially grateful for all the wonderful friends we have made over these years. Each new friend has made us appreciate our home more and more.
We are grateful too, for the tender, loving care you provide each one of us, at any time, day or night. Thank you for your friendship and the sense of love we feel from you.
We are grateful for the strength God provides in our times of need. He is indeed our rock and our fortress. May He be ever near to you through the New Year ahead.
With love,
Mary and Wayne G.
Dear Residential Nurses,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I deeply appreciate your time and effort and your patience in putting
drops in my eyes. You gave me the confidence to do the second round myself. George thanks you too.
Love,
Gladys B.
Hi Pam,
We were still visiting when the fine maintenance employee came and raised the seat. Thanks so much for your support.
My Mom is pleased and so are all members of the family with the care and kindness of the staff at Pitman Manor.
And our best wishes for a happy and warm Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Professor Duffy MSW, MA
Dear Kathy,
Mother and I want to thank you, and the residential nurses for the outstanding way in how quickly you
diagnosed her and got her to the hospital. Your professionalism and genuine caring for her when she
returned home was truly appreciated. We would gladly share this testimony with anyone who would enter
this on the residential nurses’ records as recognition for the outstanding care that they provide.
Gloria and Cindy Groff
Dear Staff,
My Family and I want to thank you for all the loving compassionate care and friendship you gave to my father.
Every employee that my family or I spoke with always displayed patience, compassion and pleasantness. May
God bless all of you for providing a healing environment for end of life and working in a difficult, but special place.
Mary Klien
Dear Second Floor Nurses,
Thank you so very much for all the love and care you gave to my father over the years. My whole family
appreciates all you have done for him. I always said my Dad could have done ads for the Manor because he
loved it there so much. God Bless you all.
Thanks again, Bonnie Marshall
Dear Pam and Farrah,
On behalf of Habitat for Humanity, I would like to express our appreciation to you for inviting us to be part
of your 3rd Annual Classic Car Show and BBQ. We are grateful to all the employees who made it such a success
by donating baked goods for our sale. Habitat is an all-volunteer organization that depends on people like
you to help us provide decent housing for those who would otherwise not be able to afford a home. We thank
you for helping us raise $186.00 for our families. Thank you for your generous support.
Sincerely,
Peggy Price
